The Blaw Knox Bulldozer 561 was introduced in 1949 and subsequently renumbered to 961 in 1954. A control lever would move the blade up or down. This model was available in mainly red with a brown cast driver but other colours were introduced in later years such as yellow and orange. There are also casting differences that introduced structural supports and how the operator controls are mounted. Later versions included a plastic driver.
Model #561 was issued between 1949-54 and Model #961 was issued between 1954-65.
