This section is dedicated to the early Corgi Toy Diecasts models made in the 1950s to the 70s that were from 1/32 to 1/49 scale. Corgi Toys were the main competitor to Dinky Toys in the 1950s with the introduction of plastic windshields, moving parts and other innovations. Dinky had to quickly catch-up to maintain market share! Some of the Corgi model numbers are the same except for the last letter. Early Corgi were motorized and could be wound-up were denoted with an M . Others that included A were issued with suspension and S denoted plastic interior that was added to further the model's realism. This guide has links to photos of vintage Corgi Toy models from the early 1950s to the 1970s. There are multiple photos per model showing different angles, highlight issue dates, variations between models, etc. for you to discover. The collection below is organized in a numerical order with the associated model description. Using information from the baseplate, search against the details below when trying to identify your model. By no means is this a complete catalog of all the Corgi Toys ever issued, but it is a start!
